Safeguarding is not paperwork at EMERGE. It is a condition of responsible work with children, vulnerable adults, survivors, families, partners, and people receiving support in moments of crisis.
Our commitment
EMERGE applies safeguarding standards across staff, partners, volunteers, and programs. We protect children, vulnerable adults, survivors of violence, persons with disabilities, and anyone receiving support from EMERGE. Dignity, consent, privacy, and accountability are not optional values. They are conditions of responsible practice.

Ethical communications
EMERGE protects dignity in every photo, story, and message. We obtain informed consent, reduce identifying details, avoid distress-based fundraising, and give people control over whether and how their story is shared.
- •Names and identifying details are changed unless explicit consent is given and publication is safe.
- •Children's faces and identifying details are protected in public communications.
- •Images are selected for dignity, safety, and context, never pity.
- •Survivor stories are shared only with informed consent and clear understanding of public use.
- •People are informed how to withdraw consent where removal is possible.
Reporting a concern
If you have witnessed, experienced, or suspect a safeguarding concern involving EMERGE, contact the Safeguarding Lead at info@emergeinternational.org or use the form below. Concerns are received in confidence, taken seriously, and acted on according to EMERGE's safeguarding and investigation procedures.
Emergency notice: EMERGE is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency or specialized services available in their location.
