Church and Pastoral Partnership

Church and pastoral partnership.

Practical pathways for churches, mission boards, and pastoral networks.

This page is for congregations and mission partners ready to support, host, fund, or participate in EMERGE's faith-community facing trauma-informed work.

For pastoral vision and theological framing, start with the For Churches page.

Partnership pathways

Training host

A congregation hosts trauma informed workshops for pastors, lay leaders, caregivers, youth workers, or children's ministry teams.

Funding partner

A faith community or mission board funds care access, child and family support, practitioner training, or pastoral supervision.

Referral partner

A local body develops safer awareness and learns when to connect people with qualified care.

Pastoral care partner

Pastors and ministry leaders access peer spaces, supervision, retreats, and support.

Content partner

Worship communities help share approved Arabic or ministry-facing psycho-education with their people.

What EMERGE provides

  • Training design and facilitation.
  • Approved trauma informed and pastoral care resources.
  • Guidance on boundaries, confidentiality, and referral.
  • Safeguarding requirements for child facing work.
  • Follow up options where funded and appropriate.
  • Reporting for church funded projects where agreed.

What partner congregations commit to

  • Protecting confidentiality and dignity.
  • Following safeguarding and ethical communication standards.
  • Avoiding pressure, conversion conditions, or spiritualized blame in care contexts.
  • Respecting scope of practice and referral boundaries.
  • Supporting the work beyond one event where possible.

Partnership next steps

  1. Share your church or network context.
  2. Identify the need: training, pastoral support, funding, referral, or child and family support.
  3. Agree on safeguarding, scope, logistics, and reporting.
  4. Implement with clear follow up.

Together we can make a difference.

Your support can help a child feel safe, a family begin healing and a community move toward lasting recovery.
